Local - Regional Programme
Our ambition is for Slovak cities, towns and municipalities to rank among Europe's leaders in quality of life, digital services, climate resilience and citizen participation by 2040.
Our Local and Regional Election Programme takes scientific projections and European commitments seriously, translating them into concrete actions that regions, cities, towns and municipalities can take – even when national politics is hesitant or slow to act.

Key Priorities of Our Local and Regional Election Programme
1. Local and Regional Government as the Foundation of Public Administration
Decisions should be made as close to citizens as possible. We want stronger local and regional governments with clearly defined powers, adequate funding and genuine accountability for the services that shape people's everyday lives.
2. Local and Regional Government at Your Fingertips
Public administration should be simple, fast and digital. Less paperwork, shorter waiting times and more services available online – supported by open data and transparent local and regional government.
3. Better Places to Live
We want to build cities, towns and communities where people can enjoy a high quality of life, convenient transport and opportunities for leisure. Affordable housing, clean energy, reliable public transport, more green spaces and climate resilience are the foundations of a better life for everyone.
4. Local Economy 2.0
The future of our regions should not depend on cheap labour, but on talent, innovation and modern businesses. We will support local entrepreneurs, emerging technologies and cooperation between schools, businesses and local and regional governments.
5. Health and Care
Quality healthcare and social care should be available as close to home as possible. We will strengthen community-based health and social services, preventive healthcare, support for older people and healthy environments for children and young people.
6. Education, Talent and Opportunities Close to Home
Every region should be a place where people want to study, work and build their lives. Investment in schools, teachers, lifelong learning and opportunities for young people will help prevent the loss of talent from Slovakia.
7. Radical Transparency and Active Democracy
Democracy does not end at the ballot box. We want open and transparent local and regional governments, clear and accessible information, participatory budgeting and meaningful citizen involvement in decisions about the future of their cities, towns and communities.
