"Europe, United" march & rally in Bratislava
Join hundreds of Europeans from dozens of countries gathering in Bratislava this weekend for the General Assembly of Volt Europa, and help us send a clear message: Future of central Europe belongs in a strong, democratic, and united Europe.
📍 March for Europe – 17:00
The march will begin at Ľudovít Štúr Square and proceed across the Danube to Tyršovo Embankment. We will gather symbolically by the river that connects ten European countries, beneath the iconic Bratislava Castle and SNP Bridge – symbols of security, connection, and cooperation.
Participants of the Volt Europa General Assembly will travel to the starting point from the National Tennis Centre using dedicated event shuttle buses. At Ľudovít Štúr Square, all participants will assemble before setting off together.
The march route is approximately 1.6 kilometres long and will follow the Danube waterfront, cross the Old Bridge, and continue to Tyršovo Embankment. The march is expected to last around 30 minutes and will be supported by volunteers and coordinated with the relevant authorities to ensure a safe and smooth experience for everyone.

Accessibility:
The walk is approximately 1.6 km long and follows a mostly flat urban route from Námestie Ľudovíta Štúra across the Old Bridge to Tyršovo nábrežie. It is intended to be accessible for participants with reduced mobility, wheelchair users, parents with push chairs, and others who may need a slower or more predictable pace. The route uses public streets and pedestrian areas, but participants should be aware that some surfaces, kerbs, crossings, or crowded sections may require extra care. Volunteers will help keep the group together and support participants along the way where possible.
📍 Public Rally 18:00 –19:00
Following the march, a public rally will take place from 18:00 to 19:00, featuring short speeches by guests from Slovakia and across Europe.

Why Bratislava?
This year, the Volt Europa General Assembly is not taking place in Brussels, Berlin, or Paris. It is taking place in Bratislava. And not by coincidence.
Central Europe stands at an important crossroads. Democratic institutions are facing growing pressure, societies are becoming increasingly polarized, and many countries in the region are still struggling to realize their full potential. At the same time, Slovakia is preparing for its 2026 local and regional elections, which will be a significant moment for the country's future direction.
That is why more than 700 Volt members and activists have chosen to meet in Bratislava. We believe that Europe's future is not shaped only in Brussels. It is also shaped in cities and regions, where decisions are made about the quality of democracy, citizens' trust, and the ability to cooperate across borders.
At a time when some political leaders question European cooperation and seek inspiration from authoritarian regimes, we want to present a different vision: a Europe that protects democracy, promotes prosperity, stands with Ukraine, and empowers people to shape their own future.
